Brief description: Iroh is your typical aged aristocrat, short and stout, fairly broad-shouldered and stocky, with a tri-pointed gray beard and his gray hair usually pulled back into a regal topknot. He usually wears light armor, a symbol of his retirement from the military. Beneath his loose garments, his body is still quite strong, though a slow yet steady layer of fat has crept upon him in his old age.
Brief personality/strengths/weaknesses: Iroh is very wise, at peace with himself and in tune with the ways of the world. He is still fast and rather strong despite his age, and he is quite adept at all manners of mind-over-matter. His weaknesses are few; the loss of his son will always be something of a tender point, and his fondness for tea is rather singular.
Brief history: Born as crown prince of Aegis, Iroh never quite managed to become king. Both he and his younger brother had budding families long before his father showed any signs of ill health. Though his wife died in childbirth, Iroh's son was actually in his mid-20s and a clear line of succession established before the first riots broke out; Iroh's son was killed in the line of duty trying to suppress the riot, and the loss of his son devastated Iroh. His younger brother, sensing an opportunity to usurp his brother, quickly convinced their father to name him heir apparent. Shortly after, Iroh's aged but healthy father died in his sleep, and his younger brother ascended to the throne. Iroh contented himself to be a guardian and mentor to the young Prince Zuko, though after the young boy was banished, Iroh disappeared and was never heard from again.
